Product Owners and Product Managers are essential in the journey of building more sustainable products, services and solutions. While POs don’t need to be experts in sustainability, they need to understand the fundamentals, the implications for their role and the product they own.
Product Owners have most of the capacities already. We know how to balance needs of customers, stakeholders and business interest. We want to shape the world. We are curious and eager the learn. We are generalists and have the bigger picture in mind.
Adding Sustainability to Product Ownership and Product Development creates a Super Power. Green POs build more sustainable products. Green POs add more purpose to the team. Green POs accelerate the sustainable transformation of an organization.

Open Sources
Content created for Green PO events is completely Open Source. Every person in the world, no matter the financial situation, should be able to become a Green PO.
Co-Creation
The resources used in Green PO training are co-created by a global group of agile, product and sustainability experts. The variety of the skills and experiences relates to the variety of the world.
Tangible
Green PO events create value for product owners and managers. They foster understanding of the bigger picture and provide tangible tools and instruments for daily product work in a commercial context.

Green PO looks at products and services from the perspective of all life on earth. Going beyond user-centricity includes the needs of humanity and non-human actors while considering business interests.

About Green PO
Green PO is an initiative by Patrick Hypscher, Scott Seivwright and Joanna Masraff. We want to connect the agile product and the sustainability community to accelerate change and help individuals enhance their personal impact. We started in autumn 2023 using the resources, skills, networks, legal entities we already have. We have a vision of a decentralized organization in common interest. We ship small responsible increments towards that goal.
Our events are online, offline, and hybrid.
We start in Scotland and Germany and our aim is to build a global network of Green PO Facilitators. Collectively we can accerlate the transformation, increase the impact and achieve our mission: To turn every PO in to a Green PO.
